A New Legacy are currently undertaking a refresh of the Sofitel Melbourne signature restaurant
Through both Interior design and branding our vision is to create an elevated, contemporary and timeless dining experience 35 floors above the Melbourne skyline.
First, we defined the signature spaces for Sofitel hotels globally, ensuring a unified vision.
By prioritizing the needs of guests in the design of our hotel spaces, we created environments that feel connected and inviting. This approach facilitated a seamless flow for both guests and staff by thoughtfully integrating the customer journey into every aspect of the hotel.
Creating spatial principles for each space that blend aesthetic beauty, functionality, and sustainability.
By weaving elements of French culture and contemporary design into each area, we created a cohesive yet dynamic interior identity for each space, ensuring a uniquely luxurious experience for every guest that honoured the Sofitel brand DNA.
Finally, we tied everything together by creating the ideal spatial flow & zoning for each Sofitel property.
Merging luxury with functionality, our set of best practice diagrams illustrate the ideal relationships between spaces and services. They are designed with both the customer and staff experience in mind, while staying true to the brand's core values of elegance, sophistication, and French art de vivre.

A neighbourhood set in stone, The Quarry is Brisbane's most elevated and celebrated new development. A project of unique regeneration, with 100,000 subtropical trees replanted into the site and tiered ridges providing dramatic vantage points of the landscape.
A New Legacy were commissioned to enhance the visitor experience within the main architectural pavilion and sales centre.
Our aim throughout was to develop a strong sense of connection with the local environment, achieved through spatial installations that link the architecture, brand and landscape design and provide an inspired customer journey through the two architectural pavilions.

Creating spatial principles for each space that blend aesthetic beauty, functionality,
and sustainability.
By weaving elements of French culture and contemporary design into each area, we created a cohesive yet dynamic interior identity for each space, ensuring a uniquely luxurious experience for every guest that honoured the Sofitel brand DNA.
Within the 'Inspiration Gallery', mobile oversized picture frames are staggered to provide a meandering visual journey for the visitor, encouraging exploration at an individual pace and orientation.
The panels can also be configured to create a variety of unique spaces, becoming a circular meeting area or linear room divide.
Materials such as reeded glass allow the natural light of the site through and provide a layered aesthetic with planting and graphic design woven seamlessly together

The back drop to the ‘inspiration gallery’ is a full height digital 'Wonderwall', which plays a meditative scene hand sketched by local artist Paper Hands.
The animation describes the local flora and fauna coming to life and populating The Quarry, complete with birdsong and water sounds which carry through the pavilion.
